How the Studio Began
The 7th Heaven Studios began as a simple frustration shared by a small group of Mumbai line producers and cinematographers: the city had no shortage of talent, but it had a serious shortage of shooting spaces that respected both the crew and the frame. Sets were being built in warehouses with leaking ceilings, generators were being hired because the power kept tripping mid-take, and actors were changing in corridors.
So in 2018 we took over a plot in Rathodi, off Marve Road in Malad West, and rebuilt it from the shell inward. The ceiling was raised and blacked out to 17 ft. A dedicated 30 KW clean-power line was drawn so a full lighting rig, DIT cart and air-conditioning could run at once without a flicker. Walls were acoustically treated. Three makeup rooms were fitted to celebrity standard. What opened was not a hired-out hall — it was a working studio designed around a call sheet.
Eight years on, that first floor has been joined by a second, soundproofed floor built for podcasts, interviews and voiceovers, and the studio has hosted more than 500 productions. You can see the range of work in our studio gallery.

It is a short drive from Malad station and the Western Express Highway, close to Madh Island and Aksa for exterior units, and reachable from Andheri, Goregaon, Borivali and the Versova ferry side without crossing the city.
The compound takes trucks. There is free on-site parking for cast, crew and production vehicles, and load-in is at ground level with no lift bottleneck. The studio is available 24/7 for pre-booked shoots, so night schedules and back-to-back days are straightforward.
